Come along to the upper car park in Burrington Combe between 1pm and 4pm on Sunday 18th September and enjoy the celebration of the success of the Discovering Black Down Project. Join in the free activities for children or adults can go on a walk to discover the fascinating history of Burrington Ham. Have a go at orienteering and learn how to use a map and compass. Whilst the adults are orienteering the children can be discovering what wildlife lives on Burrington Ham using the free Nature Log Book. Take a break from the orienteering half way round to discover what animals are eating the nuts by joining the great nut hunt and learn how to make your very own leaf prints using a simple but exciting method. After finding your way back successfully you will then be able to make your very own Mendip Rocks mobile to take home as a souvenir. For those who want to find out more about the history of Burrington Ham and what the Discovering Black Down Project uncovered then join a walk starting at 1.30pm
